Roads & Highways

SR101/64th Street T.I., Phoenix AZ – geotechnical investigation for new interchange and auxiliary lanes between 56th St and 64th St.  Project also included a new bridge, retaining walls, elevated entrance/exit ramps, abutments, and box culvert extensions.

US285 Design-Build Project, Federal Blvd-Kipling St, Denver CO – Quality assurance observation and testing services for design and reconstruction of 4 miles of freeway including replacement of bridges, additional through lanes, and bridge deck rehabilitation.  Acura is also responsible for management of material submittals and quantities for payment/acceptance, maintenance of quality management document library, and preparation of the QA testing program.

Deer Valley Paving, Bridges & Storm Drain, Phoenix AZ – geotechnical investigation for realignment and repaving of Deer Valley Road between 7th Street and Cave Creek Road, bridges across Cave Creek Wash and the CAP Canal, and drainage improvements along the alignment.

Sand Creek Parkway, Aurora CO – construction observation and materials testing for new roadway including subgrade preparation and paving.

Airports

Denver International Airport, Denver CO – Acura has been contracted with AECOM Aviation to provide quality assurance construction material testing, observation and inspection services on all projects located within the airport site.

Show Low Airport Runway 6/24, Show Low AZ – quality control testing for runway extension and safety embankment.

Sterling Airport Improvements, Sterling CO – quality control testing for runway replacement and extension.

Aspen-Pitkin County Airport, Aspen CO – quality control testing for new underground utilities, new runway and runway extension.

Rail & Light Rail

Central Mesa Light Rail Extension, Mesa AZ – geotechnical investigation for 3 mile extension of light rail system into Central Mesa.

Camelback Road Park and Ride Facilities, Phoenix AZ – geotechnical investigation and construction materials testing for both new and expanded park and ride sites.

Denver Federal Center Station Park and Ride Lot & Bus Transfer Station, Denver CO – geotechnical investigation for proposed 3-story parking garage.

Rocky Flats Closure Project, Golden CO – construction materials testing for extension of 2 miles of railroad at the facility.
